6 or 7 miles at a brisk 9.30 pace. Faster runners wait periodically for slower ones. Varied routes each week. Often do sessions on Hill reps, Timed circuits etc and in the Summer group planned sessions on Endurance and speed work. So structured sessions are often undertaken, especially in the winter.

- Jean/Susie – Beginners and Inbetweeners (sometimes with Anne)
These two groups work closely together to ensure that we cater for the complete beginner and those who can run at a slow pace . If you want to start running, then this is the group for you. Come to the club on Tuesday evenings where our walk/run leaders will be there to help get you going. The group is relaxed and supportive and you will meet other members new to running. Almost all runners who start very gradually in this group are able to run continuously for 4 or 5 miles after a few months and join the ‘Inbetweeners’.
